Mariachi Mestizo
We went to the Asland shakespearean festival green show before going to the Wiz and this band is playing, they are 9 to 18 years old. They were great and a lot of fun.

Since 1998, Mariachi Mestizo has been a cultural staple of the San Joaquin Valley of California. It regularly showcases the Mexican heritage of the region through music performance in numerous public and private events. The ages of its members range from 9 to 18, and they live in the communities of Porterville, Terra Bella, Richgrove, and Wasco, all in the surrounding area of Delano, CA. For the last five years, this group has received top honors at the Battle of the Mariachis competition in San Juan Capistrano Mission. Last summer, they were featured as the opening number for the Mariachi USA concert at the Hollywood Bowl. They are currently working on their first album at Capitol Records with the support of Little Village Foundation.
Apparently Tressanna is Famous
Word on the Street food truck donated a percentage of their sales at Ashland’s 4th of July celebration to benefit Great Shape! Inc. The taped the poster for this year’s SuperKids project on the side of the van. I have reused the same picture of Tress for about 3 years so she looks much younger on the poster.
Unicorio AWAKES!
I think these girls could sleep all day. Finally the great unicornio awakes.

The Great Unicornio
Ashland, Oregon
We made it to Ashland, OR on July 4th, we missed the morning parade but met up with friends and family for some celebration. We left the Kennewick, WA Walmart parking lot at 4:30 a.m. and the girls slept the first couple of hours while I drove. At Biggs Junction Tress drove for two hours and then Savina for about 2 hours. They both took turns napping as we only slept for about 4 hours in Kennewick.
