Rick Suhr build some reflectix insulation material  wheel well booties to cover up the sticky butyl rubber sound deadening material. They look very nice and are held together with Velcro.

I purchased a Dometic Brisk Air 2 13,500 btu A/C unit. I’ll cut the hole tomorrow and install it. I already ran electric behind the panels but I’ll need to build a support system to hold it up.

Rick Suhr helped me again, it sure is easier to put the panels up with help. Rick did most of the work putting this panel up.

It feels great to get the second row windows completely done. I’d probably be pretty good at installing them by the 3rd or 4th window. The van looks more friendly, we’ll probably get fewer “free candy van” comments.

The selfie twins helped some yesterday and took a nice selfie before applying Roundup to all the front and backyard weeds.

I cut out the slider panel to install the passenger side second row window. I over cut it slightly so I have to repair a little spot where the saber saw got away from me. Slows me down a bit but won’t be a substantial repair. It is a little strange to cut giant holes in the side of a vehicle.

This window LOOKS GREAT! I purchased the CR Laurence Sprinter Windows through Sprinter World and I got the first one installed in about 3 hours with the help of Rick Suhr. The window tips out at the bottom but it really doesn’t open very far, I guess it will provide a little air circulation but it will make riding in the second row a much more pleasurable experience.

I am taking a break, it is hot outside. Yesterday I installed insulation and the back ceiling panel. I put the Roxul in the ceiling and then installed the ceiling panels. It took a long time but turned out pretty well. I’ll go out in a few minutes and put in the slider door panel, the second ceiling panel and the second window.

Savina is practicing her driving and we made a video to show to her mom and dad in Korea.

I enlarged each of the 4 holes in each of the metal ceiling ribs and installed a riv-nut in each hole. I ripped some 2 x 4 material and scored it so it would bend easily and conform to the bowed shape of the metal rib on the roof. I filed a piece of threaded rod to a sharp point, screwed it into each of the riv-nuts, and used it to make a template so I can duplicate the hole pattern from the metal roof on the wooden ribs and the plywood roof panels to be installed.
